Here’s the problem:
A government agency with redundant links, links to outside websites, inconsistent drop down menus, and an ineffective search capability.
Test, Iterate. Repeat.
Based on user tests, the menu/nav bar went through several iterations, each time simplifying the interaction and reducing all links to fewer categories
design from inspiration
Colors invoke emotion. Images have to be chosen empathetically. Fonts can reinforce a message. As a designer, I take all into consideration in order to communicate the story.

Here’s where I get to have fun… micro-interactions, animations, drop-downs; whatever it takes to keep the viewer interested.
